Latest Star to go naked for PETA. Tamara former formula one star
Heather Mills keen to strip for PETA
Former ‘Beatle’ Paul Mc Cartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills is keen on stripping for a campaign for animal rights activists ‘People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA).
Heather, a staunch animal rights campaigner and charity activist, intends to join celebrities like Eva Mendes, Pamela Anderson, and Kim Basinger who have all posed nude for the “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaigns.
“Heather prides herself in speaking up for those without a voice,” the daily Express quoted a source close to her as saying.
“She is a vociferous supporter of and has worked closely with countless animal charities including Peta and Viva! She is willing to do whatever it takes to get people to listen and stop abusing the rights of animals. She says she would love to pose for one of Peta’s campaigns,” the source added.
Heather had recently donated one million dollars of vegan food to one of the poorest areas of America.
However a spokesperson for the organisation said that they had not yet been contacted by the 40year-old, and declined to comment on her suitability. (ANI)
“The Member Secretary
Central Zoo Authority
New Delhi
Respected Sir,
You must have read about the progressive step initiated by the Honorable Minister of Health and Family Welfare, banning smoking in public places. We are sure you will agree that this is an important step to protect the health of passive smokers. We are writing to you to follow the step of the Honorable Minister of Health and Family Welfare and ban smoking in zoos. We are sure you will agree that “passive smoking” is injurious to the animal’s health too.
Further, PETA investigations over the years have revealed visitors at some zoos deliberately exhaling smoke on the face of animals who are incarcerated in the zoos, or handing lit cigarettes to monkeys to ‘smoke’, or even trying to touch the burning tip of lit cigarettes to the animals just because they think that is ‘fun’.
We request you to kindly ensure that all zoos across the country ban smoking in their premises.
Please keep us informed of your action so that we can inform our concerned members and supporters.
Sincerely,
Anuradha Sawhney
Chief Functionary”
