– The come back of Britney spears has made waves. But the animal rights activist PETA has not find her come back to be impressive.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have found Britney spears to make another mistake after her blunder at the MTV video music awards in 2001 wherein she danced around the stage with a python.

The activist has raised the issue for her use of elephant in her latest video in circus.

PETA blogger Christine Dore says that the 27-yeard-old princess is now just a disgraceful and venomous mess. I certainly don’t want her to gimme more and neither do the animals that have been abused so that she can feel lucky.

PETA is strongly against her for the use of animal to just gain its popularity. PETA planned to take strong action against her.

Pamela Anderson-best known internationally for her starring roles in the TV series Baywatch and V.I.P appears in PETA INDIA newly released ad wearing only a leafy bikini top and G-string. With the tag line “turn over a new leaf and try vegetarian”.

PETA and Anderson together are taking an active step and want people to know that vegetarian diet is the best way to stay trim, lighten your conscience about the suffering endured by animals raised and killed for food, avoid life threatening illnesses and even spice up your sex life without popping pills. She said feels that being vegetarian is the best and easiest way of staying slim and sexy.

Eating meat clogs the arteries to all of the body’s vital organs, which result in impotence. Vegetarian live longer than meat eaters. Eating meat causes various diseases like heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis, the very disease that the diary companies claim their products prevent. Vegetarian are 40 percent less likely to die from cancer than meat eaters.

When she was a little girl growing up, Anderson raised such a disturbance when her father brought home a deer that he had killed that he never hunted again. Then she learned about the cruelty endured by animals raised for food so went vegetarian and joined PETA.

Animals raised for food lead a miserable life and suffers a most terrifying deaths.

“Why go vegetarian?” Anderson asks “with so many reasons, I think a better question is, ‘why not?’”

Pamela is joined by a growing number of celebrities who have kicked the meat habit – including Sir Paul McCartney, Martina Navratilova, Kim Basinger, Alec Baldwin, Mahima Chaudhary, Joaquin Phoenix, Moby, R. Madhavan, Ragneesh Duggal, Kareena Kapoor, Aditi Govitrikar and Tobey Maguire.

Five years investigation of Indian poultry farm by PETA INDIA investigated that chickens are abused terribly including the live scalding, starvation and mutilation of birds. This terrible condition could lead to health hazards including Ecoli, salmonella and bird flu.

According to PETA INDIA report, the condition of chicken-meat and egg industries is beyond anyone’s worst nightmares. In egg farms, around 6 to 7 chickens were crammed together inside a cage. In order to prevent them from pecking at each other there sensitive beak is scorched off with the hot blade. Some birds starve to death because of unbearable pain while eating. When they stop producing eggs, they are “force-moulted” which means they are kept in the darkness and deprived of food and water for up to 14 days to shock their bodies in to another laying circle.

Chickens that are raised for flesh spend their very short life in a very huge shed along with thousands of other birds. The ammonia fumes from their accumulated waste burn their throat, eyes, breast, hocks and even causes most of the birds to lose their feathers and develop blisters. Chicken grow so large so fast that they frequently suffer from heart attacks, respiratory disease, liver disease and disease resulting in weakened immune systems. Most of the chicken also suffers from crippling of leg deformities because they are not able to carry their own weight.

The only relief from this misery is still more terrifying, that is piercing to death. Many chickens are grabbed by their frail legs and wings this often leads to breakage of their bones. They are hung upside-down in metal shackles and dragged through an electrified water bath. Many escape the electric shocks only to have their throat slit and be dumped in the scalding hot defeathering tanks when they are still conscious. Some other birds are transported to shop where workers violently grab them and transfer them to cages where they manually kill the birds.

PETA INDIA reports also notes that the crowded and filthy condition at farm and in slaughter house has a serious threat to human health as well because it is providing ground for disease to spread like E. coli, salmonella, listeria and the most deadly disease Bird flu which the minister of state agriculture Shri Kanti Lal Bhurai warned may hit India any time.

At last PETA INDIA  said if you really want to prevent animals from suffering deadly disease and also to improve your own health then stop eating meat and eggs.

A PETA member and Publix stockholder has submitted a shareholder resolution calling on the Lakeland-based grocery giant to report any progress it has made toward adopting animal welfare policies that pertain to the purchase of eggs and pig, chicken, and turkey meat. Publix operates 950 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee and also owns Pix convenience stores in Florida.

Currently, the limbs of chickens and turkeys purchased by Publix are often broken, and the birds are conscious when their throats are cut during slaughter. The company buys most of its eggs from suppliers that cram hens into cages so tightly that the birds can’t even stretch a wing, and it buys pig meat from companies that immobilize pregnant sows in tiny “gestation crates” for months at a time.

Unlike Publix, many grocery chains–including Safeway, Winn-Dixie, and Harris Teeter–have already taken action to curb these abuses. These and other companies have enacted policies to increase the amount of cage-free eggs and crate-free pig meat that they purchase, as well as to begin to buy more chicken and turkey meat from suppliers that use a less cruel method of slaughter.

“Publix is way behind other major food retailers in addressing the suffering of animals on factory farms,” says PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk. “Consumers care about animal welfare, and if Publix doesn’t keep up with its rivals, shareholders could pay the price in diminishing returns.”

PETA INDIA, at the news conference in Chennai announces that US retailer Liz Claiborne- with annual sales of US$4.8 billion has given PETA US an assurance that it will not use leather from India because of cruelty towards animals for their skin to prepare leather. Another retailer of US- Kenneth cole has also given an assurance to PETA US for not using the leather from India. Because the Indian government and the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) have significantly broke the promise for taking steps towards the cruelty for animals for animals. PETA INDIA have re-launched a campaign which was put on hold after seeing the video and photo evidence, that tells about an illegal treatment given to animals in the Indian leather trade. When the PETA US launched the boycott of Indian leather in 2000, the major 40 retailer around the world agreed to boycott the Indian leather. By the decision of those companies Indian leather industry lost an estimated $68 million. The campaign that was re-launched follows PETA INDIA’S verification of lack of enforcement of animal welfare standards that was promised by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the late Minister of Commerce Murasoli Maran. But unfortunately CLE failed to take significant step to alleviate the immense suffering of animals used for leather. The coordinator of campaign and legal affair of PETA INDIA- N.G.Jayasimha says “The sufferings of cow and other animal is dreadful, yet our government has done nothing to condense the suffering of even one bullock, while the Indian leather industry supported the unabated torture of animals.” The seven years investigation by PETA INDIA reveals that Indian animals used for leather are transported in such a poor and crowded condition that they break their bones and most of them often die due to suffocation. Animals are cruelly and illegally mishandled. Even at slaughters houses, animal are slaughtered in full view with each other, which is illegal. Although it claims to have an animal welfare reform programme, the CLE refuses to initiate any action towards leather businesses from obtaining skins from suppliers which mistreat animals.

The top model, popular VJ and Miss India earth 2001 Shamita Singha lying on the bed of red chilies, tag line written next to her “Spice up your Life – Go Vegetarian”, appears in the new-brand ad of petadishoom, the youth division of PETA.

Shamita wants people to go vegetarian because animals slaughtered for meat are crammed into vehicles in very large numbers that many of the animals get severely injured and die en route. They are skinned while they are still conscious. At the slaughter house, animals are very cruelly and illegally handled and even they are not provided with basic necessities such as food, water and veterinary treatment.

Chickens are so badly treated that they are crowded in filthy shed that reek of ammonia fumes from their accumulated waste. Chickens at slaughter house are bred and drugged to grow quickly which often make them to cripple on their own weight. They are dropped in to scalding hot water to remove their feathers.

Vegetarian food is also better for your health. Shamita says “I turned vegetarian when I was quite young because if I really love animals then I could not eat them.” The fact is that meat is not healthy and not good for your body. And when she was asked that how she maintains her looks, she said I eat lot of veggies, salads and fruits and those foods are alive so I am alive. I actually get all my energy from veggies and fresh stuff.

Young people can actually help animal abusing by visiting petadishoom.com, where they can see even their favorite star are helping animals and trying to stop cruelty towards animals. If there are no people to eat non-vegetarian then animals will not be hit, dragged and cruelly and illegally treated for their meat.

On Thursday, the activist’s people of PETA carried out the protest against Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) at its new market outlet.

The protest was against cruelty to birds by their suppliers and KFC was asked to deal strictly with their supplier for such cruelty. After the undercover investigation of US slaughter house in West Virginia by PETA shows that birds are being cruelly treated by the workers. The birds served by KFC have a very tortured and painful life. Rahul Patil, the campaign coordinator of PETA said “It would be completely impractical if we ask people to become vegetarian. So we just want them not to have food from KFC unless they implement some basic animal welfare standard.”

Sumit Bhattacharya said that KFC should adhere to some sort of welfare standards like others. According to PETA report, KFC suppliers pack chickens in filthy and crowded warehouses. For the purpose of breeding, birds are drugged and millions are scaled to death in de-featuring tanks.

PETA has written number of letters to KFC executives regarding these issues, but none of these letters were answered by them. They simply refused to abide by norms and are trying to hide behind its animal welfare advisory council in US.

The protestor called for the adoption of animal care standards and also asking them to lay down transparency in welfare standards.
