The demonstration will be held by activist wearing costumes of cow, rabbit and sheep and Christmas hats holding tag line written as “bring joy to our world too-don’t kill us for our skin!”
“PETA is encouraging Goa residents to buy synthetic and natural fibre materials and to turn away from the item made of animals’ skin.” PETA said buying leather directly contribute to the abuse of animals in abattoirs. Majority of cows, sheep, goats and pigs are raised and killed for their skin by which they suffer painful body mutilations, deficiency, physical abuse and cruel treatment during transport and slaughter.
PETA activist says animals on fur farms have very filthy environment. Fur farmers use very cheapest and cruelest killing methods just to get skin of animals for fur.
Wearing animal skins is no way spreading joy and goodwill of Christmas. Instead wearing out all stylish and comfortable natural fibre cloth can spread joy all over.
